Music

We’re known as Music City — and the reason for that is obvious from the moment you enter Nashville. Everywhere you turn, there’s incredible music available. From Cheekwood to Centennial Park, from the Ryman to 3rd and Lindsley — we have no shortage of great venues and a wide variety of musical talent. There’s great music for the kids as well as for the adults — and plenty of family-friendly fun to be had!

Food

Every time you turn around, it seems like a new restaurant or coffee shop has popped up. With all these amazing choices, we had a hard time narrowing down our top date night locations. Another favorite? Our list of locally loved coffee shops. Farmers markets are bustling throughout the summer, and we’ve even got a great listing of family-friendly patio eating. Nashville’s food scene — and it’s growing variety and sophistication — has been well-documented over the past few years, and those of us who live here are not surprised!

Greenways

From Radnor Lake to Shelby Park, Nashville has a wide-ranging variety of parks and hiking trails. You can choose a day of Food Truck gatherings and enjoy a picnic with your family or get everyone into outdoor gear and go for a hike. Several of the community centers host family-friendly learning sessions and star-gazing gatherings as well.

Growth

You only have to look around you to see all the growth in our city. Cranes grace the skyline nearly everywhere you look. Buildings — from new single-family homes and condos to office buildings and commercial space — are in progress all over town and spreading into the suburbs. Hot neighborhoods for all stages of life are blossoming everywhere. There’s something for everyone — you only have to look.

People

Most of all, it’s our people that we feel are the draw here. Being friendly and welcoming is a way of life in Nashville. If you’re looking for a warm and family-friendly place to live? You’ve found it. We’re a city that brings in people from from all over, but we’ve managed to wrap all of that together into a culture that includes all the best parts of each of us.
