Christina

Hey there! My name is Christina and while I am a New Yorker by birth, I’m a Nashvillian at heart. I moved here back in 2016 and immediately fell in love with Nashville. I met my husband Luke here (at Loser’s Bar and Grill back when going out on a Monday night was way more normal for me than it is now) and together we’ve had our first little one. Her name is Callie Grace and she’s now two months old! Our new favorite thing is finding new ways to explore Nashville, meaning in ways that our little one can enjoy it too!

I went to school for Musical Theater, so my passions lie not only in being a mother, but in the arts as well. While I moved to Nashville with the same dreams as everyone else seemingly does (a music career) I’ve begun to learn to love being creative in a multitude of different facets. Writing being one of them! I started a blog shortly after Callie was born as a creative outlet and it has been so immensely fulfilling. There, I write about all things home, style and life from the perspective of being a new mom and trying to navigate and balance all three.

In my spare time when I’m not momming or writing, my husband and I love to explore new restaurants this amazing city has to offer. We love taking Callie on walks and have been enjoying finding new trails and places to take her so she can enjoy the outdoors. We love Escape Games (we’ve done 40+) and we love live music! If you want to join along my journey of new motherhood, you can follow on Instagram @christinapduran or you can sign up for my Newsletter at www.myhomestylelife.com! So excited to be a contributor for the Nashville Moms team and can’t wait to get writing for y’all!

Carolina-NM

Carolina

Hey there! My name is Carolina Guske, and I am originally from São Paulo, Brazil. My family moved to Houston, TX one day after my 11th birthday, and we lived there for about a year before planting our roots in Nashville, TN. My husband Kyle and I met at Independence High School and started dating our senior year. Fast forward and we have been together for 13 years and married for 7. We have a daughter named Blair, who turns 4 in June and our furry daughter Jessie who is 7.

I graduated from Belmont University with a double major in Marketing and Management, and came back for more, receiving my MBA with a concentration in Marketing. Go Bruins! I am still involved with my alma matter through the inaugural year of the Purpose Mentorship program- where I have the honor of mentoring college students in truly finding not just their career of choice, but their true purpose beyond accolades.

As for my career, I am District Manager for ALDI (caw caw to those of you who are avid fans…IYKYK), and love what I do and the teams I serve. I assumed my first District in the Memphis market, where we lived from 2016-2021.  Now, I am proud to be over the Murfreesboro and Spring Hill, TN regions in the Nashville market.

Between a fast-paced career and motherhood, caffeine is my rock (well, and my husband of course). I am addicted to coffee and caffeine, and my daily drink of choice from Starbucks is a Grande shaken espresso with blonde shots, no classic syrup, one pump of white mocha, three pumps of sugar free vanilla, 2% milk and extra ice. Most days just one is not enough.

Chloe

Hi, I’m Chloe Hoffmann. I’m a preacher’s kid from Spearfish, SD, but now live in Nolensville. I spent my growing up years lifeguarding, playing volleyball, hiking, skiing, building bonfires, camping, and being a choir nerd. I graduated from Harding University in Arkansas with a BA in Public Relations in 2015. During my time at Harding, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and spent time traveling all over Europe.

After college, I moved to Nashville to follow my then-boyfriend, now husband, Luke. My first job was at Green Door Gourmet, a large organic farm, general store, and event venue. While following Green Door Gourmet’s flower team around with my camera to generate content for their social media, I started to learn about arranging flowers. I thought it would be a fun hobby to pick up one day, but I was still mainly focused on graphic design and photography as hobbies and side hustles.

Luke and I were married in 2016, and I went to work at Lipscomb University and, while working in University Relations, earned my Master of Arts in Conflict Management in 2018. Just before my graduation, I volunteered to put together the flowers for my brother-in-law’s wedding. I didn’t realize I had jumped into the deep end of a very hands-on and demanding job, but once I was in I was hooked. I caught the entrepreneurial bug and left my full-time job in the fall of 2018 to start Morna Mae Floral. The business has continued to grow, and I really enjoy using my creative streak to bring beauty to big days.

We welcomed our first baby, Ezra, in January 2020, just before the first round of quarantines started. New motherhood paired with the complete denial of a “village” was so taxing, and I can’t believe we survived the whole first year of Ezra’s life going basically nowhere. These days Ezra thrives on being outdoors, meeting new people, and Starbucks bacon egg bites. I am now primarily a SAHM who gets to do wedding flowers on the weekends. I’m dipping my toe into growing cut flowers to use for weddings, and Ezra is my little garden terrorizer helper. I most enjoy being outside working in the yard with my little family. I also enjoy time spent with our church friends, daily facetime calls with my family, and singing “Yellow Submarine” with Ezra multiple times a day. I love trivia, audiobooks, and dark chocolate. I have dreams of one day coaching volleyball, writing a book, and traveling to my ancestral lands in Virginia, Scotland, and England.

Chrissy-NM

Chrissy

Hi! My name is Chrissy. I live in the sweet, small town of Nolensville. I’m married to Aaron, and we have 3 kids- 2 boys: Cale & Casey who are 15 & 12, and a 4-year-old girl, Ella Grace. We moved here 4.5 years ago from the Memphis area, and have fallen in love with this area. At least once a week I ask myself, ” Do I really get to live here?”  We love to be outside, trying out new hiking trails, or finding fun places to eat. I’m from Florida originally and miss the beach tremendously, but we try to get back there once or twice a year.

I’m the person people ask to lead things because they know I’ll say yes. I’m recovering from an extremely busy, chaotic season, and learning to slow down and enjoy the moment. I love to read, write, and make things. I believe most things can be solved by a long walk or good cup of coffee.

I work for our church and can’t believe I get paid to do ministry. It’s a dream- I get to share my faith and walk alongside other people doing the same. I am also a licensed life coach & certified Enneagram coach. I write at www.chrissynhuffman.com about a mixture of coaching, motherhood, and encouragement.

Christy-NM

Christy

Hi there! I’m Christy.  I’m a mama to two beautiful girls and a rescue pup, who has been mistaken more than once for an Ewok. I was born in rural East Tennessee but grew up in Southern Illinois.  After college, I moved to Nashville, where I met my husband in 2002. We now live in Murfreesboro and have loved raising our family here.

After six years as a stay-at-home mom, I finished my MA in Professional Counseling at Liberty University and returned to work as a trauma therapist. Balancing a graduate program and parenting young children taught me a lot about the gift of being human and having limits. As a therapist, it is a sacred space to hold the stories that have never been spoken before. As they are shared, witnessing shame fall away and healing begin is an honor. I hope to encourage other women to share their stories and give themselves the compassion they need through this journey called life and motherhood.

I live life and motherhood through a Christian worldview. My hope is to encourage other women in their relationship with Christ, themselves, and others. In my free time, I love hiking, traveling, camping, writing, and music. I love people and I love to recharge by being alone.  I find that I have much more to say on paper than in person.  I look forward to sharing the ups and downs of life and motherhood with you!

Polman Family

Cassidy

Hey mamas! I’m Cassidy. I was born in Nashville and after several years of being in the foster care system I was adopted by a family from East Tennessee where I grew up (with the exception of a few wonderful years in wild West Virginia!). I received an associate degree from Roane State Community College and found my way back to Nashville to attend Middle Tennessee State University where I graduated with a liberal arts degree concentrating in English literature.

After graduating college, I decided to jump into the aviation industry and become a flight attendant. I flew for two major airlines over the course of seven years. Traveling across the United States and several places around the world gave me the unique opportunity to learn about people in ways I never had before. It taught me lessons that I will carry with me always. Still, no matter where I went, nothing was better than home.

I stopped flying when my husband and I welcomed our daughter in 2016. I stayed home to raise her and embarked on the biggest journey of my life, motherhood. My daughter is now ready for school, and I’m ready to return to my love for reading and writing. They say in life some things never change, but I’ve learned that most things do. Motherhood constantly changes me and teaches me. I hope to never stop learning.

Ambassador Team

Megan-NM

Megan

Hi! I’m Megan – a fellow Nashville mama! Like so many others, I am a transplant to the Nashville area, but have lived here for 13 years so it definitely feels like home. I am originally from Pennsylvania and fell in love with Nashville during a college internship in 2005. After graduating college and gaining a few years of “real life” experience (a.k.a. my first professional job) I moved to Nashville in 2009 and promptly fell in love again…this time with my husband! We met on the first day of my job and I guess you could say the rest is history. We got married in 2012 and welcomed our first child, David, in 2019. We currently live in South Nashville, but will soon be residents of College Grove.

I recently made the decision to become a full-time SAHM after growing my career in the tourism industry for over seven years with Visit Franklin. I absolutely loved my job, but after having my son my heart changed. I decided, along with my husband’s full support, that the best thing for me and my family was to stay at home – a privilege I realize not everyone is given. Don’t get me wrong, there are days that feel like they will never end and all I want is the chance to finish one hot cup of coffee and (real talk) go to the bathroom in peace, but I’ll take those days because it means I get to soak up all the fun times and milestone moments.

I grew up dancing and continue to serve my passion for dance today as a founding member of Ignite Dance Co. (check us out on IG or FB)! I love to travel and am learning how to do it with an energetic toddler. Some of my favorite things include a really good bar of dark chocolate, reading, painting with watercolors, sugar-free vanilla lattes, shopping, cooking, baking and finding the perfect pair of jeans.

Stephanie NM

Stephanie

Hi, I’m Stephanie Adams! I was born in California, moved and raised in northern Indiana, lived in Chicago the past 7 years, and now a Nashville transplant since mid-2021.

I met my husband, Joe in college at Ball State University where I studied psychology and sport medicine. I then moved to Chicago to pursue a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Sport & Health Psychology while Joe finished his time at BSU. He eventually followed me to Chicago where we got married in 2019. After 7 years there we decided we were done with harsh winters! We only visited Nashville a couple of times before deciding to make it our next home and so far, it’s been great and we hope we can build our life here.

We became parents for the first time in January 2022 to our sweet girl, Willow. We enjoy being parents very much and love exploring the city for fun family activities!

In addition to being a new mom, I am a practicing mental health therapist currently specializing in perinatal/maternal mental health. I work for a wonderful private practice in Chicago (virtually) and hope we can open a similar practice here.

I’m so excited to be an ambassador for NM and I look forward to building a community with other moms and exploring this beautiful city.
