Jordan

I’m Jordan, and I have small town, southern Florida Panhandle roots that have been transplanted to the foothills of the Smokies. I am a very proud wife and mom of two. I love to be outdoors, travel, spend time with family, sit on the front porch, take a nap, do some yoga, and you’ll always find us at our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on Sunday. My husband and I met in high school and the rest is history! Married at 19 and made parents at 22, we haven’t necessarily taken the traditional route, but it’s been the best ride. My kids keep me on my toes daily and if I’m not running around after them, then I am inevitably dealing with our human-like animals or trying to spend five minutes with my husband.

I do my best to find humor in all things and keep motherhood real – the good and the bad. I struggled in my transition to Mom and found ways to soothe my soul with writing and yoga.  I am by no means an expert at this whole parenting thing (truly, I’m just winging it), but I never want another woman to feel alone on the journey of motherhood and that’s what you will find at the core of my writing. I am the owner and founder of Mama Yoga here in East Tennessee where I create community for moms and encourage self-care with mindful movement in prenatal, postnatal, and traditional yoga instruction.

You can follow along with my writing and yoga adventures on FacebookInstagram, and on my website, www.jordanmorgan.com

Megan

Hi! I’m Megan – a fellow Nashville mama! Like so many others, I am a transplant to the Nashville area, but have lived here for 15 years so it definitely feels like home. I am originally from Pennsylvania and fell in love with Nashville during a college internship in 2005. After graduating college and gaining a few years of “real life” experience (a.k.a. my first professional job) I moved to Nashville in 2009 and promptly fell in love again…this time with my husband! We met on the first day of my job and I guess you could say the rest is history. We got married in 2012 and welcomed our first child, David, in 2019.

I recently made the decision to become a full-time SAHM after growing my career in the tourism industry for over seven years with Visit Franklin. I absolutely loved my job, but after having my son my heart changed. I decided, along with my husband’s full support, that the best thing for me and my family was to stay at home – a privilege I realize not everyone is given. Don’t get me wrong, there are days that feel like they will never end and all I want is the chance to finish one hot cup of coffee and (real talk) go to the bathroom in peace, but I’ll take those days because it means I get to soak up all the fun times and milestone moments.

I grew up dancing and continue to serve my passion for dance today as a founding member of Ignite Dance Co. (check us out on IG or FB)! I love to travel and am learning how to do it with an energetic toddler. Some of my favorite things include a really good bar of dark chocolate, reading, painting with watercolors, sugar-free vanilla lattes, shopping, cooking, baking and finding the perfect pair of jeans.

Ashlee

Ashlee

Hello friends, I’m Ashlee!

In 2023 my family traded in our flip flops for cowgirl boots and made the move from the Alabama Gulf Coast to Nashville with my husband, (Ben), two girls (Collins and Quinn), our big fluffball (Lionald) and our humble turtle (Shelly). I went from an in-office setting literally on the beach, to a work-from home setting in the music city and could not be happier with the change. We love to shake things up, experience new things and enjoy new perspectives.

I am an extreme optimist, a daydreamer, a full time Marketing professional, a part-time writer, and a “whenever I can” adventurer! I like to think of myself as a free spirit, but realistically motherhood most often times binds me to a solid plan and scheduled days. I drink way too much caffeine and am a certified drink goblin (One for caffeine, one for hydration and one just for fun!)  Being a mom most oftentimes demands behaviors such as going out in public and being social, but my favorite place in the world is on my couch.

As a marketing professional I love telling stories. I enjoy sharing adventures, tips, tricks and my favorite mom-approved places to visit, experience, and see! I cannot wait to share my perspectives and opinions with this community and I look forward to connecting with other Nashville moms in our new home.

Laura

Hello! I’m Laura, a middle Tennessee native currently residing just outside of Franklin, TN. I’m a busy mom of 4 who is always on the go. I worked in the financial industry for 3 years before becoming a stay at home mom to my first son in 2010. In 2012 my second son was born and shortly thereafter I opened a party décor shop. In 2015 I added a third son and in a surprise twist 14 months later our daughter arrived to complete our family!

The COVID years killed my party shop and brought my husband home to work full time in my once beloved office. Once life picked back up, my kids were no longer little and we were constantly on the go with no time left to manage my small business. My full time job is now being their personal assistant and manager which oddly take way more time than I would have ever imagined. My SUV is my second home and on any given day you can find me crisscrossing my way all over Williamson County for school drop offs, pick-ups, soccer, ballet, gymnastics and music lessons amongst other things.

In what little spare time we have left, I make sure to fill it with fun adventures. I’ve discovered a love for road tripping which we take for any school break. I fill those trips with a variety of experiences from history, to nature, food, museums and a few beer gardens along the way. Personally, I enjoy cooking, deep life chats, a good gin martini, throwing parties and discovering new experiences. I’m excited to join the Nashville Moms team and look forward to creating guides and resources for the Nashville area.
