There’s just something about spring mornings at a farmers market. Coffee in hand, kids wandering, live music playing, and baskets filling up with strawberries, sourdough, and fresh flowers. If you’re local to Nashville, you’ve got some really great options. Here are the ones worth adding to your weekend routine this season.
If you live in Nolensville, this one feels like home. It’s smaller, super community-driven, and packed with high-quality, local vendors that you’ll quickly start to recognize week after week.
- When: Saturdays, 9 AM – 12 PM
- Where: Historic Nolensville School
- Season: Spring through fall (plus a winter market)
This is a true producer-only market, which means everything you’re buying is grown, raised, or made locally. In the spring, you’ll start to see fresh greens, herbs, strawberries, and early-season veggies, along with staples like farm eggs, sourdough bread, honey, and small-batch baked goods. There’s often a relaxed, family-friendly feel—kids running around, neighbors catching up, and the occasional live music or pop-up vendor.
Also, the Nolensville Farmers Market has the CUTEST merch. Check out their store!
This was one of the first farmer’s markets I ever attended when I moved to Nashville and it really stuck with me. If you love a slightly more curated, aesthetic experience, this one is for you. Located at The Factory at Franklin, it blends a traditional farmers market with a boutique, lifestyle feel.
- When: Saturdays, 9 AM – 1 PM
- Where: The Factory at Franklin
You’ll still find fresh produce and local goods, but there’s an added emphasis on specialty items: artisan pastries, craft coffee, small-batch products, and unique vendors. It tends to feel a little more relaxed and less crowded than the main Franklin Farmers Market.
The real bonus is what surrounds it. After you shop, you can grab brunch, browse shops, or let the kids explore the open spaces around The Factory. During our recent visit we had brunch at Two Hands and it was amazing. I had the seasonal orange vanilla iced latte and a spring garden hash packed with veggies. The lemon poppyseed waffle with ricotta and earl gray syrup was also super creative and super delicious. For just $5 you can also ride the super cute and old school indoor carousel on the West side of the property.
If you want variety—or just want to make a day of it—this is your spot. Located downtown, it’s one of the most expansive markets in the area.
- When: Daily (with peak vendor days on weekends)
- Where: Downtown Nashville
The outdoor market features local farms and seasonal produce, while the indoor Market House is packed with food vendors offering everything from international cuisine to local favorites. You can shop for fresh ingredients and then sit down for lunch all in one place.
They also have a full nursery packed with every plant, herb and garden décor you can imagine.
Spring is a great time to go before the summer crowds hit. It’s also a fun option if you have visitors in town or want to pair it with a trip to Bicentennial Park right next door.
Spring mornings here tend to feel calm and unhurried, perfect if you’re trying to keep your weekend simple.
