Additionally, you rarely need a referral from your general practitioner. So what are you waiting for?!

How complicated is the treatment for pelvic floor issues?

Not complicated at all! Our initial evaluation usually consists of asking a series of questions followed by a musculoskeletal assessment. During this assessment, we may look at your range of motion in your hips and back as well as check your belly or hip strength. Based on your answers to our questions, we may also ask for your consent to perform a (vaginal) pelvic floor assessment. This allows us to assess the muscles of your pelvic floor and their function and determine what exercise program would be best for you. Everyone is unique. We design an individualized plan based on our findings and your goals.

What is the most effective way to repair diastasis recti without surgery?

See a physical therapist! There is so much information and confusion on the internet about this topic. It is common, but not normal. An evaluation with an experienced therapist can help you determine which exercises are safe for you and your recovery. Your therapist can also assess if there are tight areas in other muscles or joints restricting your muscles from approximating or coming back together. Our biggest success with treating this? Our individualized approach. No two people are the same!

Is there a treatment for pregnancy-related sciatica?

Yes! Any of our locations can help you with this. Your body is going through a lot of changes allowing room for your baby to grow which may be creating imbalances in your pelvis and low back — pressing on nerves and giving you symptoms. Please see one of our therapists so we can help!
