New Nashville Openings I’m Adding to My Must-Try List

0

One of my favorite things about living in Nashville is that there’s always something new to explore. It feels like every week another restaurant, coffee shop, or entertainment spot opens its doors, and honestly, my “Want to Go” list is getting a little out of control.

If you’re looking for your next girls’ night, date night, family outing, or just a really good meal, here are some of Nashville’s newest openings that are officially on my radar.

Alla Vita

Italian food lovers, this one’s for you.

Chicago’s acclaimed Boka Restaurant Group recently opened Alla Vita in Wedgewood-Houston, bringing handmade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, fresh focaccia, and elevated Italian classics to one of Nashville’s hottest neighborhoods. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous inside and feels like the perfect spot for date night or celebrating a special occasion.

What I’m ordering: Handmade pasta, obviously.

Momotaro

Right next door to Alla Vita is another exciting Boka Restaurant Group addition.

Momotaro has finally made its Nashville debut, serving beautifully crafted sushi, robata-grilled specialties, hand rolls, and Japanese-inspired dishes with a few Nashville-exclusive menu items mixed in. If you love sushi, this is one reservation worth making.

Prince St. Pizza

The famous New York pizza shop has officially landed at Fifth + Broadway, and people have been lining up ever since.

Known for its iconic pepperoni-covered Sicilian slices, Prince St. Pizza is perfect for grabbing lunch downtown, fueling up before a concert, or ending a night on Broadway. As someone who never says no to pizza, this one has quickly climbed my list.

Kane Brown’s On Broadway

Broadway has another celebrity hotspot—and this one might be one of the coolest yet.

Kane Brown’s On Broadway officially opened this summer with four levels of live music, Southern-inspired food, craft cocktails, and rooftop views of Lower Broadway. Kane has said he wanted the space to feel welcoming whether it’s your first visit to Nashville or your hundredth, and it definitely looks like a fun addition to Broadway’s entertainment scene.

Fishmonger

If seafood is your love language, you’ll want to check this one out.

Atlanta favorite Fishmonger recently expanded to Nashville, bringing fresh oysters, smoked fish dip, lobster rolls, shrimp, fish sandwiches, and a laid-back coastal vibe. It feels like a little taste of the beach right here in Music City—which this former Gulf Coast girl definitely appreciates.

ABBA

One of the most anticipated restaurant openings of the year has finally arrived.

ABBA has opened its Nashville location in Wedgewood-Houston, serving Mediterranean-inspired dishes, mezze, wood-fired meats, seafood, and beautiful cocktails in what may be one of the prettiest patios in the city. I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews already.

The Hangout Cafe

Parents, don’t skip this one.

The Hangout Cafe in East Nashville is more than just a coffee shop. Along with specialty coffee, pastries, chai, and breakfast bites, it features a huge backyard with a playground, chalk wall, sand play area, and even a fenced space for dogs. It might just become one of the best places in town to actually enjoy your coffee while the kids stay entertained.

One thing’s for sure, Nashville’s restaurant scene isn’t slowing down anytime soon. So if your weekends have been feeling a little repetitive, consider this your excuse to try somewhere new.

And if you’ve already visited one of these spots, let me know what’s worth ordering. My list keeps getting longer, and I’m always looking for my next favorite place.

In 2023 my family traded in our flip flops for cowgirl boots and made the move from the Alabama Gulf Coast to Nashville with my husband, (Ben), two girls (Collins and Quinn), our big fluffball (Lionald) and our humble turtle (Shelly). I went from an in-office setting literally on the beach, to a work-from home setting in the music city and could not be happier with the change. We love to shake things up, experience new things and enjoy new perspectives. I am an extreme optimist, a daydreamer, a full time Marketing professional, a part-time writer, and a “whenever I can” adventurer! I like to think of myself as a free spirit, but realistically motherhood most often times binds me to a solid plan and scheduled days. I drink way too much caffeine and am a certified drink goblin (One for caffeine, one for hydration and one just for fun!) Being a mom most oftentimes demands behaviors such as going out in public and being social, but my favorite place in the world is on my couch. As a marketing professional I love telling stories. I enjoy sharing adventures, tips, tricks and my favorite mom-approved places to visit, experience, and see! I cannot wait to share my perspectives and opinions with this community and I look forward to connecting with other Nashville moms in our new home.
