With 55 acres of botanical gardens, stone pathways, fountains, blooming flowers, historic architecture, and perfectly manicured landscapes, every turn feels like a new backdrop. Whether you’re scheduling spring portraits among thousands of tulips, summer garden sessions, vibrant fall foliage, or holiday photos during Cheekwood’s seasonal displays, it’s stunning year-round. Just keep in mind that professional photography requires advance approval and a permit fee, so be sure to check with Cheekwood before booking your photographer.
If your dream family photos include water, sandy beaches, and glowing sunsets, Percy Priest is hard to beat. The shoreline creates a relaxed, coastal feel (without leaving Tennessee), while wooded trails and open grassy areas offer plenty of variety in one session. Golden hour here is absolutely magical.
One of Nashville’s best-kept photography secrets, Ellington Agricultural Center feels like you’ve stepped into the countryside without ever leaving the city. The historic buildings, tree-lined roads, white fences, gardens, and open fields create timeless backdrops that work beautifully year-round. Spring blooms and colorful fall foliage make this location especially popular with photographers.
If you’re looking for a classic Tennessee landscape, Marcella Vivrette Smith Park checks every box. Rolling meadows, charming fences, wooded trails, historic stone features, and wide-open fields give photographers endless options. In the fall, the tree-lined paths become one of the most beautiful spots in Williamson County. We did a summer shoot here this year and loved the outcome!
You can’t beat Harlinsdale if you’re after that warm, Southern farmhouse aesthetic. Historic barns, white fencing, grazing horses, and sprawling green pastures create effortlessly timeless images. It’s one of those locations that never goes out of style and looks gorgeous during every season.

Recently renovated, The Factory offers exposed brick, industrial architecture, colorful storefronts, murals, string lights, and cozy courtyards. It’s perfect for families wanting a more editorial or lifestyle feel while still keeping things fun for kids. Grab a coffee or donut afterward and make a morning out of it.
The John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
Want an unmistakably Nashville backdrop? The Pedestrian Bridge delivers incredible skyline views, especially around sunrise or sunset when the city lights begin to glow. It’s ideal for families who love an urban vibe and want photos that instantly say “Music City.”
