Ghost Tours at The Hermitage

Follow your guide on an exciting ghost tour as they take you on a lantern-led voyage into The Hermitage mansion and to Jackson’s tomb while telling spooky stories about Battle of New Orleans, Andrew Jackson and the Bell Witch. Ghost Tours launch at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as on Monday and Tuesday, October 30 and October 31, from the Andrew Jackson Center breezeway. Bell Witch Cave Tours
430 Keysburg Road, Adams (near Clarksville)

From the website: No supernatural story in American history is more documented than that of the Bell Witch of Adams, TN. In fact, tales of this spirit were so widespread in the early 1800s they caught the attention of a general and future President, Andrew Jackson, who was from Nashville.

  • Open 10am-5pm on weekends (Sat/Sun) in May.  Last tour starts at 5pm.
  • Open 10am-5pm Wed-Sun in June, July, and August.
  • Open 10am-5pm Fri-Sun in September.

Cave Tours: The Historic Bell Witch Cave tour is approximately 40 minutes long. This guided tour takes guests through the cave owned by John Bell. Guests will see an ancient Native American burial site within the cave and many fascinating natural formations. Your guide will take you back in time to hear the story of the Bell Family hauntings, and then bring you back to the present with chilling stories of more recent activity in the cave. You may experience a haunting of your own so be prepared! Costs start at $12 for kids, and $19 for adults.

Cabin Tours: Also included in the admission is a 30 minute guided tour into our hand-hewed log cabin which is a replica of the Bell Family home. The John Bell Cabin is furnished with time period pieces and gives guests a first-hand look at how the Bell Family lived in the 1800s. The John Bell Cabin houses our collection of pictures, books, documents, and genealogy.


Franklin on Foot Tours
