Nashville Local Deals I’ve Come Across Lately

0

Confession: I love discovering a good local deal almost as much as I love discovering a new coffee shop.

As a mom, I’m always looking for ways to support local businesses, make fun memories with my kids, and stretch our budget a little further. Over the past several months, I’ve stumbled across a few local deals that have quickly become part of my regular routine.

Some of these feel like hidden gems, and I almost hate to give away my secrets, but sharing the good stuff is what Nashville moms do best.

Here are a few of my favorite local deals that are absolutely worth knowing about.

Geny’s Flowers: $1 Flower Stems on Fridays

Fresh flowers instantly make everything feel a little happier.

Every Friday from 9am-2pm, Geny’s Flowers offers $1 flower stems, making it easy to create a beautiful bouquet without spending a fortune.

I love stopping by and letting my kids help me pick out a few stems for the kitchen table. It’s such an inexpensive way to brighten your home, surprise a friend, or add a little joy to an ordinary week.

Southerners Coffee: Free Coffee on Sundays

You already know how much I love Southerners Coffee, but here’s an insider tip you may not know:

Free coffee on Sundays.

Honestly, does anything say “Sunday reset” better than free coffee?

Grab your complimentary cup, stay for one of their specialty drinks if you’re feeling adventurous, and enjoy a slower pace before the new week begins.

Turnip Green Creative Reuse: A Treasure Hunt for Bargain Lovers

Part art supply store, part thrift shop, and part creative wonderland, Turnip Green Creative Reuse has become one of my favorite places to browse.

Teachers, parents, crafters, and DIY enthusiasts will feel like they’ve hit the jackpot.

Whether you’re searching for affordable supplies for a school project, materials for a rainy-day craft, or a completely unexpected treasure, there’s almost always a great deal waiting to be discovered.

Pixel Planet: The Arcade Deal Parents Everywhere Will Appreciate

Can we all agree that traditional arcades can get expensive fast?

You load the game card. Your kids play for 10 minutes. Someone asks for more credits. You reload the card. Repeat.

That’s why Pixel Planet has become one of my favorite family discoveries.

Instead of paying by the game, you pay by the hour, with admission starting at just $12 per hour.

Kids can play their hearts out, collect tickets, and enjoy far more games without constantly watching their credits disappear. While a handful of games aren’t included in admission, your hourly pass also includes tokens that can be used on many of those premium games.

And honestly? That’s what makes this place so great.

Parents can actually sit back and enjoy watching their kids have fun instead of wincing every time they hear, “Mom, can you reload my card?”

You’ll find Pixel Planet in Nolensville and at Tanger Outlets, making it an easy addition to your next family outing.

These are the kinds of local finds that make me feel like I’ve unlocked a cheat code for mom life. Because if there’s one thing Nashville moms are good at, it’s helping each other discover the best-kept secrets in town.

Ashlee Lowry
In 2023 my family traded in our flip flops for cowgirl boots and made the move from the Alabama Gulf Coast to Nashville with my husband, (Ben), two girls (Collins and Quinn), our big fluffball (Lionald) and our humble turtle (Shelly). I went from an in-office setting literally on the beach, to a work-from home setting in the music city and could not be happier with the change. We love to shake things up, experience new things and enjoy new perspectives. I am an extreme optimist, a daydreamer, a full time Marketing professional, a part-time writer, and a “whenever I can” adventurer! I like to think of myself as a free spirit, but realistically motherhood most often times binds me to a solid plan and scheduled days. I drink way too much caffeine and am a certified drink goblin (One for caffeine, one for hydration and one just for fun!) Being a mom most oftentimes demands behaviors such as going out in public and being social, but my favorite place in the world is on my couch. As a marketing professional I love telling stories. I enjoy sharing adventures, tips, tricks and my favorite mom-approved places to visit, experience, and see! I cannot wait to share my perspectives and opinions with this community and I look forward to connecting with other Nashville moms in our new home.
