Lil Sports Academy {Sponsored Post}

{NMB has partnered with The Lil Sports Academy for this sponsored post. Participation in sports teaches our children discipline and teamwork as well as improving balance and coordination and providing a much needed outlet for all of that boundless energy! We know that building these strengths and skills in our children is as important to you as it is to us.}

The Lil Sports Academy is in the business of teaching kids between the ages of 2 and 6 how to enjoy playing and succeeding in sports. By teaching baseball, soccer, and football in a fun and non-competitive way, The Lil Sports Academy is developing the next generation of young sports participants and preparing them to play in local recreational leagues with confidence and achievement. Unlike most rec leagues with large teams and volunteer coaches, the Lil Sports Academy has a proven curriculum, experienced coaches, and small class sizes.

The Lil Sports Academy started in the Nashville area in October 2013 and already over 1,200 children have learned sports skills through their programs. The key to success? A perfect combination of learning and fun. Classes are small, active, and just a little bit silly. Basic skills for each sport are broken down into easy steps and terminology that young children can understand and execute. Each age group has its own set of games, activities, and objectives that are age appropriate and (more importantly) FUN!

The Programs:

The Lil Sluggers classes develop important baseball skills such as throwing, fielding, hitting, and base running. Developmentally appropriate equipment and games are used to teach the game of baseball in a fun, exciting, and positive environment. Lil Sluggers was created in 2004 by Lil Sports Academy owners K.C. and Sheila Whitlow and is a nationally licensed program with over 36 operators across the U.S. and Canada.

KickStarterSoccer

Kickstart Soccer classes develop fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, shielding, shooting, and trapping. In addition, general fitness and motor skills such as running, balancing and jumping are also emphasized.

Lil Pigskins is a licensed national child development program that helps kids discover the game of flag football. The dynamic curriculum is non-contact and safe, focusing on athletic ability, football skills, and general knowledge of the game.
