5 Great Ways to Connect to Nature, Learn New Skills, and Have FUN this summer!

0

Time in the outdoors is an important part of a child’s summer break from school. And connecting with nature can help decrease the summer learning gap as well.
At Leadership Academy, they believe that spending time outside helps to increase creativity, confidence and social intelligence. Leadership Academy’s five summer camps are founded in this belief, and they are the perfect way to connect children with nature, help them make friends, teach them new skills, and let them have fun! These nature-based day camps are uniquely designed to encourage campers’ independence, build their outdoor skills, and introduce them to natural beauty. The camps take place in some of Nashville’s most beautiful parks to give your young adventure-seekers an unforgettable summer! Plus, the camp proceeds go back to the Friends groups that support the parks.

Counselors in Training (Grades 10-11) is an advanced, selective program for teens looking to take their responsibility to the next level. Counselors in Training campers are expected to be true leaders in our camp community by demonstrating kindness, caring, respect and leadership. The program is designed for motivated teens looking to challenge themselves and gain hands on experiences. The Counselor in Training Program is a commitment towards making a difference in the lives of others, and inspires participants to become dynamic leaders.
