After a year that has included tornado damage followed by a worldwide pandemic, we especially want to focus on supporting local businesses this holiday season! We asked our readers to let us know if they have a small business that they would like us to patronize this year, and — as always — y’all delivered! Below, we’ve shared a list of places to remember while you work on your Christmas shopping:
Toys, Books, and Kid Gifts
Food and Drink
Clothing and Accessories
Events and Activities
Gifts for Women
Over the Womb – 4D ultrasounds and photography
Gifts for Men
Gifts for Everyone
Gifts for the Home
We encourage you to keep some of these in mind as you plan your gifting this year. So many small shops have stepped up when it comes to making things work during this crazy year — lots of options for curbside pickup and even delivery! We even find that their prices are often comparable (or can sometimes beat!) those of a certain big box giant store . . . And the bonus is that when you call, you get to talk to a real live person — a neighbor, a fellow Nashvillian, someone who could be a future friend! Be sure to check social media for specials and promotions as it’s faster and easier for smaller businesses to share that kind of information on Instagram or Facebook. Know of more businesses who could use some local love? Share it with us in the comments!
