Graceland‘s Performing Arts Camp — A Unique Experience for Your Music-Loving Performer!

0

Do you have a young performer? Looking for the perfect summer getaway for the whole family? Graceland‘s Performing Arts Camp — just three short hours away in Memphis — allows campers to follow in the footsteps of Elvis Presley while learning about singing, acting, and dancing during classes and workshops. While campers are in classes, the rest of the family can explore Graceland tours, relax by the pool at The Guest House at Graceland, or explore Memphis. It is a unique camp experience for kids — and a fun vacation for the entire family.

Two date options are offered for different age ranges. July 10-14 session for kids ages 13-17 and July 17-21 for kids ages 6-16. Instruction will be segmented by age. This one-of-a-kind experience for the entire family allows kids and teens the unique opportunity to perform live on stage at Graceland!

An immersive theater arts and music experience for both experienced and novice performers, Graceland Performing Arts Camp participants will learn from local and Broadway professionals. As they explore their creativity in workshops on acting, singing, and dancing over the four days of activities, campers will develop a showcase which culminates in an evening performance on stage at The Guest House Theater for family and friends on Saturday night.

In addition to classes, each camper gets the chance to follow in the footsteps of Elvis Presley throughout their stay. Exploring the Graceland campus, touring Elvis’ legendary home, and learning how he became the greatest entertainer of all time – in the studio, on stage, and on the big screen.

While the kids are living the dream at camp, parents and other family members keep busy with Graceland activities —including Graceland Archives presentations and tours, shuttle transportation to other Memphis attractions, and relaxing poolside at The Guest House. Everyone reunites in the evening for family dinners and activities.

The Graceland Performing Arts Camp faculty is led by acting coach, actress and voiceover artist Katelyn Nichols, who headed up the first-ever GracelandPerforming Arts Camp in 2018, plus special guest counselor Reagan Strange, who was recently featured on season 15 of “The Voice” as a contestant on Team Adam.

Meg considers herself to be a certified chaos coordinator. A mom of three, she's a long-time resident of Nashville and can't imagine a better city for raising her family. Meg lives with ADHD, a renovation and project obsessed husband, a teenage driver, a lego-obsessed kiddo, and a budding artist. Her nerves — and the bottoms of her feet — are finished with the day by 2pm. Meanwhile, every surface is covered with renovation dust and paint — or flour from her escape baking. In her spare time (irony), you can find her running (hi, stress relief!) and working on freelance editing and writing gigs.
