2015 Nashville Labor Day Fun!

Labor Day is generally regarded as the end of summer, so make sure you spend one last long weekend enjoying some of the great things Music City has to offer! This will be the first year I get to be in Nashville for Labor Day, so I’m really looking forward to checking a couple of these out with our little family!

September 3-7: Shakespeare in the Park
Centennial Park, 6 pm
Be sure to take a blanket and show up hungry! Food and drink vendors will be on site. (Suggested donation is $10, but they also just ask you to give what you can.)

September 4: Zoovie Night at the Nashville Zoo – How to Train Your Dragon
Nashville Zoo, 6pm
Free for members, included with daily admission for non-members, and only $6 a person if you show up after 6 pm! Pack a blanket and enjoy all kinds of fun—like inflatables and after-hours time on the carousel.

September 5: BBQ Rewind Family Fun and Music Festival
Riverfront Park at the Public Square, 3-11pm
Enjoy music and delicious BBQ!

September 5-13: Day Out With Thomas: The Celebration Tour
Tennessee Railway Museum, times vary
So much fun to be had for your train loving kiddos!

September 6: Women of the Hermitage
Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, 12-5pm
You can hear stories about the lives of women “back in the day” and even test out your etiquette skills!

September 6: Last Day of Nashville Shores
Complete with a fireworks show at dusk! Fireworks are included with your admission.

Now through September 7: Identity: An Exhibition of You
Adventure Science Center
Fun and educational for the whole family. Learn what makes you tick, and gather some knowledge about your genetic, physiological, and social identities.

You could also take advantage of the things Nashville always has to offer, spend the day walking through Cheekwood Gardens or get one last day of fun in the sun in at one of the area splash pads!

No matter what you choose, there’s plenty to do in our great city to celebrate the last few summer days!
