When a pair of Chicago transplants moved to Nashville and asked their realtor where to find good pizza, the answer “Papa John’s” just didn’t cut it. So, in 2014, they opened 312 Pizza Company, bringing authentic deep-dish goodness straight from the Windy City to Germantown.
A true deep dish takes about 45 minutes to bake, but it’s worth every second. The crust is buttery, the sauce is rich, and the layers of cheese and toppings are perfection. While you wait, grab a drink and keep the kids entertained with table games like Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, cards, and more.

Taste of New York Pizza — Where Bigger Is Better
If you’re craving a true New York–style pie, Taste of NY Pizza is where it’s at. Home of the giant 18” pizza, this beauty barely fits on our kitchen table — and we’re not mad about it.
It’s enough to feed the whole family for less than what you’d spend at a national chain, and the flavor absolutely delivers. The crust is crisp yet foldable, the sauce is tangy, and the cheese is just right. Their customer service is unmatched — once, when they forgot a small side, they hand-delivered it to our door with a free cannoli dessert. Talk about above and beyond!

Dicey’s Tavern — Laid-Back and Family-Friendly
Located in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, Dicey’s Tavern hits that perfect balance between good food and good vibes. The atmosphere is relaxed, the patio is spacious, and it’s very kid-friendly — little ones can stretch their legs while you enjoy your meal.
The Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza and Loaded Tots are standouts, but everything we’ve tried so far has been a hit. It’s an easy go-to when you want a casual meal with great flavors and a fun outdoor setting.

The Pizzeria at Frankie’s — Pizza, Trains, and Ice Cream
If you’re looking for a spot the kids will absolutely love, head to The Pizzeria at Frankie’s. They serve pizza by the slice, making it easy for everyone to pick what they like, and yes — they have soft-serve ice cream for dessert!
Time your visit right, and the kids can watch the train pass by — it’s a big hit with little ones. Their lunch special is hard to beat: two slices and a soda for $10. And if you’re feeling adventurous, try one of their sandwiches made with their house-made Bianca bread.
