Welcome to Summer at Sumner 2025! Campers can expect to participate in fun and unique activities while building long-lasting relationships and confidence.
Summer camps at Sumner Academy begin the last week of May. Camp offerings can range from Minecraft Camp, to Art and Science themed camps, to athletic offerings. Different camps are offered each week, so be sure to register early so your child can experience all the fun!

YMCA Day Camps

YMCA day camps inspire kids ages 5-12 (must have completed kindergarten) to learn and play together. With new exciting themes every week, your kids will try new activities and experiences, and simply enjoy being themselves all summer long.

Historic Rock Castle Camps
Location: 139 Rockcastle Ln, Hendersonville,
In 2025, Rock Castle is excited to offer seven weeks of themed Day Camps throughout the summer! While some camps will feature fun literary and pop-culture themes, each week will also include stories about the history of Rock Castle and the founding of the State of Tennessee. The goal is to create fun and memorable experiences that campers and their families will cherish for years to come. By doing so, Rock Castle hopes to inspire a new generation to appreciate the rich history of this community. No matter where life leads them, campers will always have their Castle Camp memories to look back on – and hopefully, they’ll visit often to relive those special moments. U.S. Baseball Academy’s Summer Training program is a great opportunity for players to continue their skill development in a fun-filled environment.
Camp will run four days featuring instruction during the morning focusing on hitting and defense. The afternoon session will focus on situational baseball games, competition drills, and a Wiffle Ball World Series. We will have prizes for winners and all participants will receive a t-shirt and camp certificate.
Andre Toliver will direct the summer baseball camp in Hendersonville, Tennessee, in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy. Baseball training available for players ages 7 – 14. Space is limited.

Camp Twigs Sanders Ferry

Camp Twigs at Sanders Ferry is for children ages 5-12 years old and is one of the summer camps offered by Leadership Academy. Camp Twigs at Sanders Ferry park is operated through a permit with the Hendersonville Parks and Recreation.
Day Camp is Monday-Friday. Drop-off between 8:45 am and 9:15 am, pick-up between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm.
