My husband’s birthday was just a few weeks ago, and I had a Trumaker Outfitter come to our home and fit him for a custom made shirt. It was so much fun, and he totally loved it. He got to pick the fabric he wanted, collar & cuff type, pocket or no pocket and sleeve length. He even had his initials embroidered on the collar. This type of approach to dressing is really of another era. It’s all about making shirts that fit the customer—not about pumping out shirts to fit the masses. It was absolutely a great experience.

SUP (Stand Up Paddling) at the Nashville Paddle Company
We went to dinner one night down on the Harpeth River, and I saw a whole group of people paddle boarding—or SUP. I thought, “What a cool thing to do with that special father in your life!” Or, you could send him with a group of friends. And Moms (and dads too, of course)? They have Floyo SUP Yoga. I can’t wait to get a group of my friends together to try that!
I gave my hubby a tie from Otis James for Valentine’s Day and thought that Father’s Day would be the perfect time to get him one of their awesome caps. I love the color, and the style is classic.
VIP Tickets for Live on the Green Music Festival
We’ve gone to Live on the Green every year since we moved to Nashville and always have so much fun. It is a free concert, but in my opinion, it’s definitely worth upgrading to the VIP Pass. You get the best view of the stage and access to food and drinks. The lineup for 2015 hasn’t been announced yet, but stay tuned! It will be up soon (June 24).
Beer Tasting in Nashville – Nashville is home to many breweries and tap rooms. Take a tour, or just take him in to taste. Our top picks include Fat Bottom Brewery, Jackalope Brewing Comany, Yazoo Brewing Company and Tennessee Brew Works.
