If you’re looking for a true “this is what spring is supposed to feel like” experience, Lucky Ladd Farms delivers in the most magical way.
Located in the heart of Middle Tennessee, just south of Nashville near Franklin, Lucky Ladd Farms hosts the largest you-pick tulip farm experience in the Southeastern United States, and it’s every bit as stunning as it sounds.
This is not just a flower stop. It’s a full spring day.
Tulip Season Is Short — Plan Early
The Lucky Ladd Farms Tulip Festival only happens for a brief window each spring because tulips have a short lifespan and are highly sensitive to warm Tennessee weather. The estimated bloom time is March 14-April 12, which coincides with the festival dates. If temperatures rise quickly, the season can end earlier than expected.
Tiptoeing Through Thousands of Tulips
Walking into the tulip fields feels surreal. Thousands upon thousands of vibrant blooms stretch across the farm in colorful rows. It’s one of those places where you just stop and take it in.
Bring your cameras! Share-worthy photos are absolutely encouraged. You can stroll the fields as long as you like and enjoy the beauty.
Tulip field access is included with all admission ticket options and season passes during peak bloom (March 14–April 12).
- Picking tulips is not included with admission
- Tulips are priced per stem at $2.50
- You can typically save 20% when purchasing tulips online with your tickets once sales open
One of our favorite parts? When you pick your tulips, they include the bulb so you can replant them at home and hopefully enjoy them again next spring.
The kids loved choosing their own colors and varieties. Every bouquet ended up completely unique.
It’s So Much More Than Tulips
If you’re thinking this is just a quick photo stop, you will be pleasantly surprised!
We were there for three hours and still didn’t get to everything.
What we loved:
- Old-school carnival-style rides and games
- A GIANT slide (you go down on potato sacks and absolutely fly)
- Tricycle track
- Pony rides
- Petting farm and zoo (feeding the animals was a huge hit)
- Surprisingly good food
- Playground areas for all ages
Farm Fun Park access is included with admission, which makes this feel like a full spring outing instead of a quick visit.
Tickets & What to Know

Season pass members do not require reservations for standard admission.
Because tulips are an agricultural product and highly sensitive to weather conditions, bloom timing can shift based on temperatures leading up to and during the season.
There’s something surreal about being surrounded by thousands of tulips. It feels like stepping into a painting except your kids can run through it.
Between the beauty of the fields, the giant slide, the animal encounters, the tricycle track, and the chance to bring home bulbs to plant again next year, Lucky Ladd Farms easily earns a spot on the spring bucket list.
