We’re all Nashville moms like you who love this city and all it has to offer. We are so excited to add these six, strong, beautiful mamas to our team so we can share more with all of you! We come from different backgrounds, have different life experiences, and make different choices for ourselves and our families…but we also have a lot in common—with each other and with YOU.
These particular mamas are a zoo-lovin’, lip-product-hoardin’, park-goin’ crowd, so we’re confident that they’ll fit right in and be a big part of providing you with more fantastic content and connection to Nashville!

What’s your favorite thing to do with children in Nashville? I love walking around downtown hitting up specialty shops. My two older kids love candy shops and restaurants.
What’s the one thing always in your bag that you can’t live without? I cannot live without my Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream. I have travel sizes in every bag and every corner of my house. I use it as chapstick!
In your opinion, what’s the place to eat in Nashville? My family loves Calypso Cafe.
What’s your secret talent? I sing, and not to brag, but I’m actually pretty decent!
Rachel

What’s your favorite thing to do with children in Nashville? The parks! We love the parks! And music in the parks! Musicians Corner has become our new favorite activity. We took Holden last year when he was a week old, and he loved it!
What’s the one thing always in your bag that you can’t live without? Chapstick and lipstick! I hoard them, and can’t leave the house without them. I’ve even made my own when I’ve run out!
In your opinion, what’s the place to eat in Nashville? Oh, man…I love food. All food. But right now, I think my favorite place to eat would be Otaku South at POP on Gallatin. They’re temporarily closed because they’re opening a permanent location in the Gulch, but their ramen is The. Best. Ever.
What’s your secret talent? My secret talent? I read crazy fast. I finished the last Harry Potter book (759 pages) in 6 hours. I know—so weird and nerdy! And I may or may not have read it straight through…without really stopping.
Alisha
What’s your favorite thing to do with children in Nashville? Favorite thing to do with the girls is to take them to the park! At least for the younger one…
What’s the one thing always in your bag that you can’t live without? I must have lipgloss/lipstick. I will almost have a panic attack if my lips feel even slightly dry.
In your opinion, what’s the place to eat in Nashville? Deezie’s Hot Chicken in Murfreesboro—not technically Nashville, but it counts, right?
What’s your secret talent? I can play the clarinet!
Amanda

What’s your favorite thing to do with children in Nashville? We’re relatively new to town, and I’m still exploring, but right now I love Musicians Corner.
What’s the one thing always in your bag that you can’t live without? Baby wipes. It used to be my wallet, but now it’s baby wipes… 🙂
In your opinion, what’s the place to eat in Nashville? That’s a tough one. I’m beginning to choose places by how well they can occupy my toddler. Pied Piper Eatery is great for that, as is Bagel Face Bakery. I love Noshville, Five Points Cocina Mexicana, The Local Taco, and Wild Cow too. I also love trying new places. Any suggestions?
What’s your secret talent? I’m like everyone else in Nashville—I sing and play a little guitar and piano. So, I guess that’s not so secret because it’s basically a pre-requisite for living here. My impression of a monkey is pretty spot-on, so let’s go with that. Shhh… don’t tell anyone!
Elizabeth
What’s your favorite thing to do with children in Nashville? That seems to change each year for me. However, staples will always be the Metro Parks (Cumberland Splash Park!), Greenways, Nashville Zoo, and exploring neighborhoods outside our own.
What’s the one thing always in your bag that you can’t live without? My iPhone and lipgloss (I hoard lipgloss).
In your opinion, what’s the place to eat in Nashville? Honestly, my house. Cooking is like therapy for me. But, I do love to go out. With kids: La Hacienda on Nolensville Road, McDougal’s (Yay for the one coming to White Bridge!), Mafiaoza’s, and 12 South Taproom. Without kids: Husk, Sinema, The Sutler, and Smiling Elephant.
What’s your secret talent? I can say all 50 states in under a minute. That, along with tying a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue, has won me several bets at bars.
Christie
What’s your favorite thing to do with children in Nashville? My favorite thing to do in Nashville with the kid is go to the zoo. I love the zoo!
What’s the one thing always in your bag that you can’t live without? The one thing in my bag I can’t live without is, apparently, a pen. I put a pen in my bag every time I leave the house; and by the end of the week, I’m dragging around ten pounds of ink pens. It’s ridiculous.
In your opinion, what’s the place to eat in Nashville? The best place to eat in Nashville with the kid is Pied Piper Eatery. They’re great about bringing the kid’s food out first so that by the time our food arrives, he’s done and can go play at their train table. My favorite place to go without the kid is Margot Cafe.
What’s your secret talent? My secret talent? Well, I type with seven fingers. Somehow I never took a proper keyboarding course, and so I learned to type my own way—without using my pinkies or left thumb. I do all right, though.
So excited to be joining this awesome group of moms!
