April 6 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for FREE family-friendly activities to learn how to reduce food waste at home!

Food Waste Prevention Week is a nationwide initiative designed to educate communities on sustainability and techniques to reduce waste. This year, Network for Sustainable Solutions (NSS) is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation to host Nashville’s event at Yazoo Brewing from 1-4pm.

Guests will be guided through the life cycle of a food system, starting at the production stage of food, (growing and farming) and journeying all the way to disposal (composting).

Featuring:

  • Cooking/canning demonstration
  • Worm bin composting
  • Interactive and engaging activity designed for kids
  • Special Brew from Yazoo using recovered food
  • A chance to win a weekend getaway to a TN state park!

We are excited to share about fighting food waste with you, and hope to see you there!
