Nashville is called Music City for a reason — and it’s not all boots and cowboy hats (though those can certainly be found if that what you’re looking to see). And it’s easy to understand why Nashvillians love this city. Just walk downtown, through our historic neighborhoods, or take a drive through our rolling green countryside. Must-see attractions, professional sports teams, an extensive park system, a well established arts presence, plenty of live music, a plethora of historical sites, a growing foodie scene, tons of fun for the kids, and so much more everywhere you look.

Nashville is the birthplace of Hot Chicken and known for our Meat & Threes (that’s a restaurant noted for serving an entree and three sides for those of you who are not familiar). With tons of excellent new foodie-approved restaurants popping up all the time, a thriving craft beer scene, local distilleries, and plenty of Southern specialties, we’re making a name for ourselves in headlines across the nation. A visit to Nashville simply must include some of our local fare!

Nashville is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, and you can see evidence of that everywhere you look. Many historic neighborhoods are revitalizing around town and are perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll and some shopping.

Nashville and the surrounding areas are home to some incredible parks and greenways, lakes, rivers, and waterfronts. You can find bike trails, canoeing, hiking and running trails, and so much more.

If a Nashville native were going to spend a week on vacation in Music City, what would they do? We have to admit that it’s always difficult for us to name all of our favorites, but we think we did a pretty good job coming up with some of our ideal staycations here in town.
